Snow Circles and Other Snow Patterns
This document was most recently revised on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Friday, February 14, 2014 This pattern appeared on the morning of Friday, February 14, 2014. It wasn't present when I first went into the area, investigating the reported appearance of the Abominable Georgia Snowman. It appeared after I'd taken photographs for that investigation. Since I was in the local vicinity during the time after I took those first photographs, the creation of these snow patterns must not have made any noise or been accompanied by any highly visible phenomena. Otherwise, I'd have noticed the process as it was happening. This suggests that the process, or processes, used to create such patterns isn't highly visible. This unexplained snow pattern is important for other reasons.
The main axis of symmetry of the pattern is aligned with the direction
of Polaris, the North Star. The two horizontal, parallel lines that
bisect the pattern form an angle with the perpendicular of the main axis
that corresponds to the angle of inclination of the Earth's axis.
So, it appears that the pattern contains basic astronomical data.
